Here is the story behind this painting:

I have to tell you the story behind this painting. My daughter, Cali, truly believes she is married to my husband, Gary. In the fall of 2017, my husband’s brother, Nate, got married. At the reception, when it was time to dance, Cali patiently waited to dance with my husband. She was taking it very serious and everyone just thought it was cute. Turns out she thought they sealed the deal and got married just like Uncle Nate and Aunt Amy because they danced like Uncle Nate and Aunt Amy. I had no idea she thought this, but a little while after, I was sitting by her and she turned to me and said, “Mom, you should get married.” I proceeded to tell her that I was and that I had married her dad. Nope—she would not believe me because she already married Dad. We’ve never been able to convince her otherwise. Even after I painted this she looked at it and told me, “You know I really did get married.”
